Teachers who have a certificate in "literacy skills" are in constant demand. Reading skills are highly important for everyone. Without the ability to read, a person will have a hard time finding a job that isn't physically laborious. Since reading skills are so essential, a teacher with this skill set will find herself/himself in great demand by school districts. Adult literacy programs are also gaining popularity, as the immigrant population is booming.
Education Jobs for Coaches
A coaching position is also highly coveted by many teachers. Sports and physical education are a crucial part of a child's development. Many coaches in public schools also work as teachers. They spend most of their days at the school either planning lessons or teaching a sport on the field.
School Cook Jobs
Believe it or not, education jobs for cooks are plentiful. There will always be a need to feed students in schools! Breakfasts and lunches are the biggest meals in schools, but some offer after school meals for children playing sports or participating in club activities.
Bus Driver Jobs
Since children cannot drive, bus drivers must take the reins. There are many jobs for people who can drive a bus and/or truck. Some districts cannot find enough certified bus drivers, which causes students to have long commutes to and from school. Education jobs for bus drivers are about $26,000 a year, on average.
School Administrator Jobs
Of course, school administrators are always a necessity. They are the people responsible for running a school and preparing programs for it. Administrative pay is better than teacher pay, but it's not in the millions of dollars! Administrative-education jobs tend to pay better and have more chances for promotion.
