PRAXIS II Social Studies: Pedagogy Exam
The PRAXIS II Social Studies: Pedagogy Exam is taken by candidates interested in teaching secondary-level social studies. Candidates have one hour to complete the exam. Candidates have one hour to complete the exam.
The exam's questions each describe a case study. The first question is based on a two-week history unit and focuses on classroom discussion, concepts in social studies, topics in social studies, and metaphorical/ historical/ analytical equivalents.
The second question covers formal and informal student assessment, instructional approaches, teaching techniques and classroom strategies, ultimate instructional goals and objectives, and the lesson content itself.
